It gives me great pleasure to announce that BorukBH has decided to join forces with SWTOR Life. You probably know him through his articles that he writes at http://bountyup.wordpress.com/, which he will continue to write at his new web-home – SWTOR Life. He will be a great addition to the site and make this an even greater resource to all fans of the Old Republic. I am really honored and humbled that he chose to join our little band of galactic misfits. You will be able to access his section of the site through the menu tab above just as soon as we finish setting everything up.
BorukBH is 37 year old father of 3, and married. Full time Audiovisual Coordinator for a major retail company who fills those voids in a hectic daily schedule with a joy of MMO’s.
SWTOR Life is proud to present another addition to the site that we hope all Old Republic fans will appreciate. It is a page that will keep track of all the posts Bioware developers and staff are making on the official forums. There is a version of this found on the official site (link), but we weren’t satisfied with the features it has, nor the functionality. We present you a version that has instant search (it’s more of a filter applied to all posts) of all dev posts integrated so you can search for posts only by one of the developers or a keyword. You can also sort all the dev posts by the person that posted, forum it was posted in or date. We plan on adding more features to the page, like adding Twitter posts to the mix, and we hope to bring them very soon. It is still in a sort of a beta state so please report any problems you might have with it.
I am happy to announce I’ll be joining Swtor-Life, in a partnership that we hope will serve the followers or SWTOR, in bringing you news, thoughts and concerns of the up and coming game.
Like Swtorcrafter before me, we see this as a great opportunity in bringing you a better service.
A little about me – Well I’m what you would call an aging gamer of 39. Since the days of Ultima Online, I have been hooked on mmo’s. There after have played many more, and those who do not know me, I’m on the side of the fence that hates WOW, just to get that out of the way
I will bring you my hope’s, dreams and concerns on TOR. Hopefully they will continue to bring you some humor, and most importantly give you a thought provoking prospective on TOR.
As we all continue to ride the roller coaster ride till launch, lets keep are fingers crossed that the game is all we are hoping for.
For anyone wishing to follow me on Twitter add MrWarlock_
We all hope here at Swtor-Life, will continue to grow and giving you, the TOR faithful a better service in the future.
I am very happy to announce that SWTORCrafter, known for his excellent articles on crafting in The Old Republic ( http://swtorcrafter.wordpress.com/ ) has joined forces with SWTOR Life. After a very short period of negotiation we became aware that our love for the upcoming Star Wars The Old Republic MMO is only matched by our wish to create content for its community and that was all that was needed to begin this partnership. You can expect to see his insightful articles at http://www.swtor-life.com/swtorcrafter/ in the future.
Here is a short bit about him,
Swtorcrafter is a crafter at heart, dating back to the start of the Ultima Online beta. It was there that he developed his love of massively multiplayer online game crafting systems and economies in online games and fansite creation. It was there that he was first introduced to what it was like to actually play online with other people.
It was a grand six years. The longest he has been in any one MMO since.
He has searched countless realms since trying to recapture that feeling, sometimes finding satisfaction, sometimes not.
Now as he grows older he decides it is time to go all in, one last bold attempt at finding that perfect anvil, the crafting system of his dreams, and the community to share his insights with.
Enter stage right…..
The game, Star Wars The Old Republic” MMO by Bioware
If you ever wanted to find out who is behind these article and this site you have a chance to find out more by listening to the interview Vall from Tor Syndicate did with yours truly. I apologize up front for the nasty accent and all the language errors, but my speaking English is a bit rusty. I would like to thank the Tor Syndicate for this extraordinary experience and for all of their work in bringing the TOR community together. You can listen to the entire Tor Syndicate podcast that contains the interview by clicking here.
As you might have noticed, we have been on a short hiatus caused by our recent move to a new place. Our plans to have the internet service and our computers up and operational the moment we entered the new place were thwarted by a number of unforeseen circumstances. After a long and exhausting fight with a lot of bureaucrats we emerged victorious and are continuing to supply you with fresh news from the galaxy far, far away. Here’s an image that shows what we’ve been up against during our move:
We are hard at work with the site. I have a goal of making this little site you are visiting officially launched by the end of this week or, at the latest, start of the next week. We still have some content we want to prepare and release. I am pretty satisfied with the ASCII lightsaber generator and we have a couple more videos and a surprise coming up. This makes releasing news a bit hard to accomplish and there are newsworthy items out there, but, for now, please bare with me while we crunch through this last mile. As a reward for sticking with us here is an absolutely amazing SWTOR wallpaper that I came across at The Galactic Struggle. Enjoy:

To justify the title of this post here’s a video of Vader doing his thing because he didn’t get his Swtor beta invite (and neither did we ).
Dear visitors I am very pleased and proud to welcome you to our latest endeavor, Swtor Life, fansite 200% dedicated to the upcoming MMO game Star Wars: The Old Republic, developed by Bioware. There are very few things in entertainment one waits and hopes for months in advance. In my case it was the Star Wars: Episode I (bummer eh?) and Lord of the Rings movies, World of Warcraft beta, next Lost episode (Season one and perhaps two only though). More than a year ago it was announced that Bioware is working on their first MMORPG title set in the Star Wars universe. That is when my wait for the game started. I even attempted to start a blog early on at swtor.mmorpg-life.com, but due to lack of time I was not very active in keeping it fresh (I will copy the content here just for reference). I feel the time has come to take out my camping equipment and sit in front of the proverbial theater waiting for the show to start.
As some of you may or may not know we also did Lotro Life and Aion Life fansites. The theme is recurring and sums up to wanting to gather as much information as possible and share it with the community as soon as possible. We do up to date news, guides, item and quest databases, comics and everything we think the game’s community might appreciate. With this site we plan on doing all of that, putting in everything we got and a bit more on top. We are fans of the games and we do it for the game fans.
Like that young man standing on a desert planet, watching its two suns set, we eagerly await the future and hope to overcome all the obstacle it brings, however dark (or Darth) they might be. We hope you will embark on this journey along with us through the Star Wars: The Old Republic universe.
