Maintenance
SWTOR had unscheduled maintenance downtime twice in two days after patch 1.3 got deployed. The reaction from the community was not too favorable, especially by the Australian players who were hit by the downtime during their prime time gaming hours. In fact, the reaction could only be described by the animated gif above. Me, I got to go out a bit and actually do some work (:O) while the game was down.
And yet when wow goes down for over 24 hrs after a patch, the outcry isn’t this bad
I cant speak for wow since ive deliberatly managed to avoid it, but let me assure you when your servers go down three times in the same week, each time during prime time, twice unannounced, the animation does accuratly describe the level of angst experianced.
I was utterly enraged by it, i love the game, recognise its strengths and weaknesses, but this was one instance where BW showed thier complete lack of regard for the community. Particularly the Asia Pacific community.
